The Vango Lismore TC Poled Tents really are a breath of fresh air. Vango have tried to offer everyone the ability to reap the benefit of Polycotton regardless of their budget. The Lismore TC is almost a throwback to traditional camping but with a modern twist. Over recent years we have seen a resurgence to Polycotton fabrics because they are breathable and tend to have a more comfortable environment within. As the tent is available in two different sizes, it doesn’t matter if you are a couple/small family who want something that isn’t too big, or a larger family who like their space. Simply pick the size that is best suited for you.

As the Lismore uses fibreglass poles, not only does it help to keep the pack size and weight down but also means that, if you need to repair the tent poles, it is very inexpensive to do so. Not only are the poles pre-angled to increase internal height, but they are also colour co-ordinated to make pitching the tent easier. The tent is separated into three main areas; a sleeping area which can accommodate up to six or four people (depending on model) and there is a divider to allow privacy, a main living area spacious enough on a rainy day to offer extra room to feel comfortable and a front awning offering a great area to cook or leave your muddy shoes and boots before entering the lovely, clean-living area. The front awning door can be arranged into three positions (fully open, semi-open or closed) which means that you can use the area to suit your needs. The side door has the option to be used as a canopy by buying some king poles.

The tent has key features such as dark ‘Nightfall bedrooms’ which enable you to have a longer and better night’s sleep as you won’t be waking up when the sun does. Inside the bedroom there are also storage pockets to give you an easily accessible point for storing items like phones or torches so you can find them in the middle of the night. Other important features include cable entry points, pre-angled poles, and mesh windows internally and low-level panels externally. Our favourite feature about the tent has to be Vango’s SkyTrack System, which gives you the flexibility to hang lighting or storage organisers up by the bedroom section, thus maximising the space you have and taking your comfort level up a notch.
